Purpose of the Job/Objective

Collection, analysis and monitoring of fleet reliability performance in line with contractual and intrinsic reliability requirements

Support the project team for the identification and development of corrective action and management of forecast reliability management plan for the project

Development and implementation of reliability management for AFMS and APSYS (including FRACAS, FRB and PST)

Consolidation and monitoring of responsible projects performance

Anticipate and contribute to return of experience

Identification of the main failures / components representing product and sub-systems top offenders

Contribute to the improvement/definition of the reliability processes

Contribute to the maintenance plan improvements

Support for underperforming projects to drive improvement

Align with PL to support sharing of best practice and communication of critical project status

Apply the applicable Alstom/Engineering RAMS processes & instructions

Position in the Organisation

Organisation Reporting

Hierarchical Reporting: Service Italy RAMS Manager and Safety Assurance Manager

Functional Reporting: Platform Project Engineering Manager or Fleet Train System Engineer

Network & Links

Engineering Design Team, Maintenance Team

Project: Project Engineering Manager (PrEM), Project Product Introduction Manager (PrPIM), Train System Engineer

Quality: Project Quality & Safety Manager (PrQSM)

Integrating & Participating Units: Design team Engineers, Maintenance Engineers

External Interface: External Suppliers, Customers

Responsibilities

Understand and manage the contractual and intrinsic requirements for reliability

Ensure application of Alstom RAMS processes

Improving standard of reporting within projects or responsible cluster

Drive utilisation of GSI and FRACAS application

Planning and programming of own workload and monitoring and reporting against targets

Drive quality of base data used for reliability analysis

Produce KPIs to monitor, report and prioritise fleet reliability (at fleet, system and failure mode level)

Manage root cause analysis, resolution, implementation and monitoring of effectiveness of solution through cross-functional FRACAS meeting as per the applicable standard

Own and manage reliability growth forecast based on emerging issues and predicted implementation date and effectiveness of technical solutions

Consolidating and benchmarking project reliability KPIs

Monitor and identify underperformance and ensure robust recovery plans in place to resolve reliability issues

Support and escalate where issues are unresolved on projects

To participate to the improvement/definition of the RAMS process

Job Specifications

Knowledge & Experience

RAM analysis and tools knowledge with 1 to 5 years of experience, preferably in rail industry

Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Automation/Aerospace engineering academic background

Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties

Time management and goal oriented

Sense of urgency / priority

Customer & Product Focus.

Structured and organized with Hands-on approach

English operational in reading/writing and speaking within technical meetings.
