SciNova are exclusively supporting one of Europe’s leading Speciality Chemical and Metals manufacturers, known producing sustainable and innovative chemical and metal compounds for both the Manufacturing and Life Science industries. This is a newly created position where you will be responsible for devising and implementing the European-wide strategic direction for this category.

We are seeking a hands-on, process-driven individual who has a wealth of experience in purchasing raw materials or manufacturing components for complex industries with exceptional internal stakeholder management skills.

Role responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct materials aligned with business objectives set in both Europe and US.

Lead contract negotiations and supplier selection + build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity and quality of supply throughout one of their most critical / busiest sites.

Implement new / revise existing processes and procedures within the Procurement department and drive adoption of automation.

Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure sourcing aligns with technical and operational requirements.

Role requirements:

8+ years’ experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, specifically in direct materials within a manufacturing-type industry.

Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management skills.

Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence internal stakeholders.

Fluent German and proficient English.
