We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook/Cashier to join our team at the Ohio State House. In this dual role, you will be responsible for preparing food ingredients, maintaining a clean kitchen, and ensuring accurate and friendly service at the cash register. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both kitchen work and interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Prep Cook Duties:

Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring.

Assist in basic cooking tasks such as grilling, assembling food items, and portioning.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Label and store food properly.

Help restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed. Cashier Duties:

Greet customers warmly and answer menu-related questions.

Accurately take and enter orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Handle cash, credit, and mobile transactions correctly.

Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and dining area.

Assist with order assembly and packaging for takeout or dine-in.

Monitor inventory of front-of-house items like utensils, napkins, and condiments. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus.

Basic math and communication skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
