Description

The employee is responsible for maintaining the production equipment and processes. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery. Help Mechanic Supervisor establish Mechanical policies and procedures. Follow all specified SOP’s and demonstrate safe and effective mechanical practices.

Mechanic Technicians are required to be at their workstation, prepared to work, five (5) minutes prior to scheduled start time.

Troubleshoot and repair automation components including HMIs, PLCs, VFDs, and A/C & D/C motors.

Mechanic Technicians will be responsible for the following equipment:

Positive displacement fillers

Pressure gravity fillers

-Shrink bundlers

Labelers

-Production machinery

Requirements

Must have a flexible shift schedule and be available to work various shifts as needed.

Advanced skills required in the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, welding, SolidWorks, CAD, and PLC programming.

To perform this position the employee must be able to read and write English, do mathematical calculations, and read measuring equipment

Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.

To perform this position employee needs to have forklift certification and a valid driver’s license.
