Sleep Lab Tech

OVERVIEW

SUMMARY OF JOB

A Sleep Center Technologist is responsible for:

Performing daytime and overnight polysomnographic monitoring on adult and pediatric patients.

Perform MSLT/ MWT

Perform PAP and oxygen titrations

Setup and download of portable monitoring devices

Perform staging and scoring as necessary

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)

-OR-

• Graduate of an AMA approved school for Sleep Technology or Respiratory Therapy -AND-

a) enrolled in or completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules - OR -

b) enrolled in or completed a CAAHEP accredited sleep technology training program,

or electroneurodiagnostic (END) program, or respiratory therapy add-on track for

sleep technology.

• At least one year experience in polysomnographic monitoring preferred.

• Ability to work various shifts when required.

.Current CPR or BLS certification

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

Current CPR certification.

Obtain 50 CEU's in 5 years
