Description
The Reimbursement Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely completion and submission of all client billing and accounts receivable tracking and follow up.
This position will be required to meet the requirements of a regular office schedule, working five days per week Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm.
Because the Reimbursement Specialist may occasionally drive for Agency business, proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver’s license are required.
Duties include and are not limited to:
Accurately entering client billing data into the information system
Accurately processing and billing client claims in accordance with payer requirements and agency policy
Assisting in the preparation of monthly billing and accounts receivable reports
Maintaining complete and accurate accounts receivable reports
Posting remittance advices
Alerting appropriate team members regarding late or missing documents, authorizations or eligibility required for billing
Assisting with the collection of receivables by monitoring accounts receivables, resubmitting bills to overdue accounts, and alerting the Finance Director of overdue accounts, and following Agency collections policies
Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, payers, coworkers and other customers
Maintaining HIPAA level confidentiality of all client and agency information
Providing excellent customer service by responding within the current business day to all forms of communication (i.e. phone calls, voicemails, emails, etc.)
Performing other specific projects relating to billing, data entry, and computer operations as required
Developing and maintaining credentialing relationships for Agency and providers with all payers
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine Driver's License are required
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
Minimum of two years of previous office experience is required.
Demonstrated ability in database management, recordkeeping, gathering, and analyzing information.
Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with Quickbooks is required.
Intermediate accounting experience is required.
