Includes rotating weekends and holidays The Med Tech in Personal Care provides quality nursing care to each resident in accordance with Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations. A Med Tech takes the residents unique needs into consideration as well as their mental and physical abilities. This position is performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medication Technician certificate preferred.
Current CPR certification required, or willingness to obtain certification.
Completion of DHS Direct Care Training, or ability to complete upon hire.
Previous healthcare experience and experience administering medications preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Administers and charts medications. Ensures refills are electronically ordered from pharmacy.
Obtains vital signs per medication protocol. Completes treatments per physician orders.
Assesses skin condition of residents and implements appropriate procedures for skin tears.
Oversees assigned staff.
Timely completes or assists with all required documentation/forms - admissions/discharges, transfers to hospital, assessments, support plans, DME/MA51's, etc.
Monitors, responds to, and reports health changes of residents. BENEFITS:
