To work as a member of the Operation’s Team providing exceptional service provision and solutions to Underwriters.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of a high level of support, accuracy and subject matter expertise to the underwriting teams (Financial Lines, Credit & Political Risk and Political Violence & Terrorism)
Become proficient and take the lead in the knowledge of underwriting systems, processes and procedures and future improvements
Review and enter new Underwriting submissions into appropriate system
Ensure timely and accurate entry of policy slip data into underwriting systems within agreed SLAs, including the issuance of policy documents such as schedules, wordings, endorsements, invoices, and certificates of insurance
Liaise with and follow up with business partners closely for premium closings/advice/reconciliation of premium calculations to ensure premium bookings are completed in timely manner
Manage policy endorsement adjustments on internal Underwriting systems within agreed SLA
Ensure timely and accurate entry into Aggregation system for Credit & Political Risk exposures
Review internal exception reports in a timely manner to ensure accurate risk details are maintained on Underwriting Systems
Ensure that monthly, quarterly and year-end business timetable is adhered to, providing effective communication to key stakeholders and support all internal and external reporting deadlines
File risk information and manage workflows on the document repository to ensure complete, accurate and timely audit trail.
Support continuous improvement efforts through management of root cause problem solving and process improvement solutions
Participate in IT enhancement and upgrades for underwriting systems initiatives

A good level of numeracy & analytical skills
Detail oriented with ability to manage data
Computer literate: - strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, previous experience with Management Information tools, Subscribe, Genius and other Lloyd’s underwriting systems are desirable
Evidence of previous coaching and developing skills
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
Educational Requirements:
Minimum tertiary with demonstrable relevant experience working for a Lloyd’s Syndicate or Company Market, preferably in an Underwriting Support role.
Professional Certification from Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) preferred
This role will be based in Singapore and you are required to have the necessary right to work details prior to application.
