Key Responsibilities for Homeroom Teacher Supervise, support, and care for a group of young learners (ages 3–6) throughout the school day Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment aligned with the EYFS framework Teach 4–6 well-planned lessons per week using play-based, hands-on approaches Promote life skills and independence through Montessori-style routines and practical tasks Use Positive Discipline to guide behaviour and help children develop self-regulation and social-emotional skills Join and scaffold children's play, exploration, and communication throughout daily routines Write short, timely daily reports for each child and maintain open, respectful communication with parents Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing classroom environment Collaborate with teaching teams and participate in school events, meetings, and professional development Observe and support children’s development, helping each child grow with confidence and joy
