Description
Summary:
Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming with special events. The Accounting Manager will support all areas of the business to assist division heads and managers in meeting the company's financial needs. The Accounting Manager is entrusted to ensure all financial obligations are managed and reported accurately.
Responsibilities:
Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately
Collect, organize, and enter receipts, expenses, and reports
Generates accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profits and losses.
Maintains month-end and quarter-end closing and reconciliations
Responsible for company credit card reconciliation and payments.
Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records
Maintain accurate and organized filing systems
Partner with third-party CPA on various accounting tasks and projects such as sales tax, payroll tax, property tax, and income tax
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in the accounting profession; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement process and policy changes
Budget development and management
Implements financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting of assets and accounts
Assist the CEO with other business-related tasks when needed

Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and precision in all tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collect and organize information, receipts, expenses, and reports.
Budget development and management experience preferred
Skill in balancing multiple tasks and setting priorities
Proactive problem-solving achieved by using critical thinking skills
Integrity, ethical and moral behavior regarding operations, client, and company confidentiality
10+ years of bookkeeping/accountant experience required, including experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable
Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
CPA is preferred
Expert in QuickBooks Online software
Experience with accrual accounting methods
Experience in working with multiple divisions of a company is preferred
