What You'll Do:
Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual tasks involved in preparing a space for use including placing tables, chairs, stages and risers, scenery and signage; prepares program equipment; assists in set up and operation of audio-visual equipment, exhibit booths, and podiums; removes same after event; performs various custodial duties including sweeping, removing trash, mopping, removal of debris; cleaning restrooms; cleaning common areas as needed; ensures that the Capitol Square facilities are not damaged during events (particularly weddings and receptions); communicates with supervisor & other event staff, caterers, clients, vendors, and the public as directed/required to maintain a high level of customer service at Statehouse events.
Performs minor repair of special event equipment with basic tools; performs various other routine maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Maintenance department; performs other duties as assigned. What's in it for you:

Qualifications
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition subtraction, multiplication & division. Skill in general maintenance & manual labor procedures & use of associated tools &/or equipment*.
