Seeking a Design Engineering Co-op to work with product and project engineers in the Product Engineering department of the Tube Fittings Division (TFD) of Parker Hannifin Corporation. TFD designs, manufactures, and markets high pressure hydraulic fittings for the industrial market. The fittings are used for connecting different components in the hydraulic system via rigid metal tubes or flexible hoses.
Essential Responsibility
Work with the engineers in designing new products
Make new or modify existing product drawings using Inventor (training provided)
Help with ordering & testing prototype parts
Analyze test results and help refine the design
Write test reports
Help create other engineering documents and maintain engineering database
Make special product drawings to customer specifications
Work closely with sales and marketing personnel to provide premier customer service
Participate in project status reports at the product meetings
Help with other misc. engineering tasks
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Program
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong work ethic demonstrated through past experiences
Excellent communication/presentation skills
Good organizational and numerical skills
Personal computer skills including MS Office, Email, and the Internet
Must be a U.S. Citizen
