Ferguson Construction (FC) is a regionally established General Contractor that has been in business for over 100 years. FC has vast experience in the heavy and light industrial, commercial, healthcare, and institutional markets. Along with our in-house design department, Ferguson self performs concrete, masonry, steel erection, general carpentry, and sheet metal roofing and siding trades. FC corporate headquarters is located in Sidney, Ohio. FC operates regional offices in Sidney, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio, as well as east of Indianapolis, Indiana. The company employees 325 employees and is growing.
This position is based in our Columbus, Ohio regional office. It is an on-site position. It is not a remote or hybrid position and candidates interested in that are not encouraged to apply.

About This Position
Required: Bachelor's degree and 1 or more years of prior recruiting experience.Applicants without prior recruiting experience will not be considered.
The Recruiter & HR Business Partner (RHRBP) is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources administration for the Columbus region. They will own recruiting for both construction trades and administrative office positions. The HRBP will have responsibility for passive candidate recruitment on LinkedIn, posting jobs, scheduling and interviewing applicants, extending offers, pre-hire onboarding, and conducting orientation.
Passive and active candidate recruiting is a primary and predominant part of this position. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills who can confidently support leaders and employees alike. While being focused on recruiting, in addition, the RHRBP will have regional responsibility for supporting corrective actions/employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, service awards administration and training.
The position reports to the HR & HRIS Manager. Peers include two other regional HR Business Partners and a Benefits Manager. Our team works well together, and we are looking for someone with strong collaboration skills to join us. Job Responsibilities
Columbus region support
Recruiting, school relationships, orientation, onboarding, timekeeping, corrective actions, special projects.
Recruiting tools, reporting and advertising
Update Open Position Report weekly
Post positions as needed outside of standard ATS push boards when more candidates needed
Run ads as needed to generate more candidates
Work with Marketing to run special ad campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn Search for passive candidates on LinkedIn, Indeed and other sources Update ATS and Onboarding workflows as needed in iSolved Complete daily resume reviews
Complete all state funded initiative compliance requirements for training reimbursements
Work with Marketing to keep recruiting brochures, cards and other resources updated
Work with Marketing to keep recruiting videos updated
Campus recruiting
Maintain master roster of high schools, career centers, community colleges, colleges, univ, career centers
Maintain relationships with representatives at all of those schools
Schedule all on campus information sessions and recruiting events such as job fairs
Coordinate all Co-op hiring
Coordinate all Apprentice hiring
Performance evaluations
Support completion of performance evaluations on an annual, semi-annual and new hire basis. The SHRBP will have responsibility to coordinate evaluations for the entire company, with close support from our regional HR representatives.
HRIS Administration for the region: basically onboarding and offboarding. This individual will also have responsibility for metrics and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business, HR, Psychology or similar - required.
Minimum 2 years experience as a recruiter or HR Generalist who does recruiting - required.
Ability to work on-site in the office 5 days a week - required.
