Location: Greater St.Louis Area, Missouri

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Position Summary

The General Manager will lead all aspects of the production facilitys operations, including ownership of the P&L and direct responsibility for commercial sales performance. This role requires a results-driven leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and has a strong track record of driving operational excellence, team performance, and profitable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Full P&L responsibility for the facility; develop and execute plans to meet financial targets.

Direct commercial sales strategy, including growing existing accounts and developing new customer relationships.

Oversee daily operations of the production facility, ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and compliance standards are met or exceeded.

Lead, develop, and motivate a team across production, maintenance, quality, and administration functions.

Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Manage purchasing, inventory, and supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of products.

Partner with marketing and corporate leadership on product positioning, pricing strategies, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, report regularly to senior leadership on key performance indicators.

Ensure the facility maintains a safe work environment aligned with OSHA standards and company policies.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proven track record of P&L leadership and achieving revenue and margin targets.

Experience leading commercial sales efforts, including customer acquisition and relationship management.

Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, lean principles, and supply chain management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work onsite daily at the Washington, Missouri facility.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with custom or short-run manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite) and production planning tools.

Prior experience in the government, office supplies, or specialty products industry.
