SUMMARYThe Operations Manager is responsible for territory and crews that service IVM customers.

Customers include industrial weed control, turf maintenance, and other herbicide application services.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES•High school diploma or equivalent•2+ years of management experience or leading teams •Strong in decision making and problem solving•In-depth knowledge of the industry•Team player with a growth mindset•Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products •Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card required•A valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to drive company vehicles required•Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, by ground or air, including overnight travel requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS •Must be able to lift, move, and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds•Must have the ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces•Must have the ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions while completing work assignments (rain, heat, humidity, sun, etc.)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESExemplify our five core values (Safety, Others, Integrity, Initiative, and Passion)Review application reports and submit for invoicing in a timely mannerUpdate revenue tracker and revenue stream weeklySchedule and route jobsBuild calendar for work group 30 days in advancePerform assessments for team membersUpdate scorecardReview and approve expenses for team membersReview and approve timesheets for team membersReview tailgate briefing meetingsReview Samsara videosReview jobs for external associated costs and communicate to salesManage and track licenses, medical cards, and other certifications for team membersAttend weekly safety meetings, and lead, as neededReview and approve field work orders (FWO's)Implement kickoff meetings and a tracking system for large projectsCommunicate with sales on market needsMake follow-up calls to customers regarding quality and invoicingAssist with the health and maintenance of the fleetManage the maintenance of the office and facilitiesConduct quality control inspections of customer sitesAssist with incident investigations and implement corrective actions, when neededPerform administrative, human resources, payroll, and accounting responsibilities to support department's operationsProvide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfactionMaintain a safety culture and compliance and stay up to date on OHSA, DOT, and other applicable rules and regulationsProvide effective performance feedback through recognition, rewards, performance reviews, and disciplinary actionBuild and maintain a strong team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, and team buildingEncourage and provide career development planning and opportunities to team membersBuild future leaders through mentoring and succession planningEstablish and maintain a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and communicationRespond to employee concerns in a timely mannerUnderstand and enforce all company policies, including safety, human resources, and accounting policiesPerform other duties as assignedOpterra Solutions, Inc.
