Application Coordinator/Analyst I

Under general supervision of the IT Application Manager, the Application Coordinator/Analyst I is responsible for achieving knowledge of software and serving as a bridge between the end user operations and the Epic team. Reporting to a GBMC Application Manager for Epic applications, the Application Coordinator/Analyst I will be responsible for configuring their assigned application to support clinical and business needs, monitor system performance, testing build to ensure that it meets desired requirements, adhering to change control procedures and designing materials related to training for the delivery of education to users of the Epic system. In addition, the Application Coordinator/Analyst I will be responsible for learning and adhering to the internal procedures that used in conjunction with vendor 3rd party applications; working as a liaison/specialist during all phases of system application implementations; troubleshooting problems or questions from users and resolving assigned helpdesk tickets; participation in on-call rotation required. Performs other duties as assigned. Additional key responsibilities will be to demonstrate ability to devise simple benchmarking metrics to assess system performance. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the clinical or business operations functions. Gain increasingly abilities in data gathering, specifications development, and documentation and record keeping. Demonstrate basic degree of analytical skill and work under direct supervision in support of team initiatives.

Education

Associate Degree or higher education, or related applicable experience required. Professional certification(s) and/or related experience may substitute for formal education requirement. Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Pharmacist certification/license preferred for clinical analyst applications.

Experience

Work experience in a professional environment or obtained through an internship/fellowship program.

Skills

Communicates effectively with users, colleagues, and developers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.

Proficient organizational skills.

Achieves knowledge of assigned application(s) and its relationship to other applications.

Demonstrates ability to analyze, design, configure, and test application functions at a basic level of complexity with TS support.

Participate in development, execution and sign off of system testing.

Demonstrates proficient degree of analytical skills.

Coordinate ongoing application updates and changes.

Provide Tier 1 and 2 support to end users.

Serves as primary contact for application's end users.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Knowledge of implementing clinical and/or healthcare business information systems in a large-scale and complex healthcare organization.

Knowledge of the current healthcare environment.

Licensures, Certifications

Required to complete required training and pass certification in assigned Epic application module(s) within 120 days of employment in this role.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Attends meetings, resolves conflicts, and maintains issues lists

Probes for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences how the system will be built.

Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives.

Work with Epic representative(s) and the organization's business community, and end-users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs.

Performs analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.

Investigate end-users' preference while making build decisions.

Analyze business operations as they relate to build decisions.

Prioritize and implement requested changes to the system.

Analyze new functionality in releases for need and impact.

Review and test software each new release.

Identifies opportunities for potential system enhancements and presents to stakeholders.

Adhere to procedures for implementing system changes and other tasks.

Work with report writers to meet reporting needs.

Takes on on-call support as application support as assigned per IT on-call support schedule.

Pay Range

$66,165.54 - $112,481.42

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
