Job Description

Compile health information, review, catalog, and check medical reports for completeness.

Organize medical reports for placement in files and review charts to ensure all reports and signatures are present.

Type health information forms, prepare charts for new admissions, and fill out forms or requests for reports or certificates.

Compile and type statistical reports such as daily and monthly census, Medicaid days, admissions, discharges, or length of stay.

File reports into health information records, record information in logs, and retrieve health information records in the filing system.

Provide information from health information records after determining appropriateness of requests.

Coordinate with other departments concerning health information records procedures. Critical Information

Items must be in a clear plastic bag. Report must be scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at 8:30 am until approximately noon. No cell phones or smart watches allowed. Valid driver's license required.
