About the Role:
As a Microbiology Laboratory Technologist, you will play a crucial role in conducting both routine and emergency microbiology tests. Your expertise will help ensure accurate results and patient satisfaction while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently perform microbiology and serology testing with precision.
Ensure timely processing of specimens in accordance with protocols.
Conduct equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and in training of new staff.
Communicate critical test results effectively to medical personnel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry.
National Certification as a Medical Technologist is required (AMT/ASCP accepted).
Experience in a CLIA-certified laboratory is preferred.
