We are a busy clinic looking for a technician candidate who has high energy and loves what they do!
Full-time or Part-time availability. Our clinic has normal day-time hours without any on call, after hours or boarding.
Pay scale based on experience and licensing or certification.
Mentorship and training available to those who do not have strong technical abilities or are still learning or in school.
A strong applicant will have experience with the following:
Anesthesia monitoring
Dental cleaning
Animal restraint for physical examinations
Venipuncture
Laboratory Procedures
Use of radiology equipment
Able to work independently with initiative
Client relations and communication
Placement of IV catheters
Hospital patient care
Knowledge of vaccination and prevention protocols etc.
As a veterinary technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional care and support to animals under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. You will utilize your knowledge and technical skills to assist in various veterinary procedures, including but not limited to, administering medications, conducting laboratory tests, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting in surgical procedures.
You will also play a crucial role in educating pet owners on proper animal care, providing guidance on nutrition, medication administration, and preventive healthcare measures. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in effectively conveying information to clients and collaborating with the veterinary team.
As a valued member of our veterinary practice, you will be expected to maintain accurate medical records, ensure the cleanliness and organization of the facility, and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities will be vital to your success in this role.
Both FT and PT positions are available if interested. Spanish speaker a plus but not required.
