Purpose of Job

To direct and control inspection, maintenance, rectification, repair and modification of aircraft engines and related systems on the aircraft we operate in support of BSP daily flight operations, and any further tasks as directed by the Aircraft Engineer Shift Lead. The work carried out is in accordance with DCA Brunei Aviation Requirements.

Principal accountabilities

•Carries out maintenance, rectification and modification of company aircraft as directed by supervisory staff. Provides Certificate of Release to Service, in accordance with their company approvals, for their own work and for the staff working under their supervision.

•Assist in line, heavy and workshop maintenance as required.

•Ensures the correct completion of all technical documentation.

•Identifies and draws material from Stores to carry out repairs and replacements.

•Acts as a Goods Inward Stores inspector, when required

•Advises supervisory staff of any problems relating to the safety of aircraft or personnel.

•Ensures that all work performed is to the standards required by the Brunei Department of Civil Aviation and in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, using the AMP and AMM.

•Performs secondary duties designated by Senior Licensed Aircraft Engineer to the best of their ability.

•Performs additional duties assigned by management or supervisory Staff

•Complies with published HSE requirements and Company practices and procedures.

•Directs staff under his supervision in carrying out maintenance of Company aircraft in a safe and compliant manner.

•Assists in the coaching and development of those staff under his control

•Be medically fit and can travel offshore for aircraft recovery.

Qualifications Required:

•Bruneian DCA Cat B1.3 Aircraft Maintenance License endorsed with S92A Type Rating or Cat B1.3 from a National Airworthiness Authority acceptable to the Brunei DCA (e.g. EASA, UK CAA or equivalent).

Competence Required

Experience:

•At least 8 years' experience in the Aircraft Industry

•Minimum of 2 years experience on S92A at full CRS level with a Part-145 maintenance organization/ operator.

•Specialize aircraft skills, including (but not limited to) composite repairs, structural repairs, Cat C approvals, engine workshop approvals etc. will be an added advantage.
