Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
Lay out patterns and foundations according to project plans.
Cut, shape, and set bricks, blocks, or stones using hand tools and power tools.
Mix, spread, and apply mortar or other adhesives to bond materials.
Construct, repair, or maintain walls, partitions, chimneys, walkways, and other masonry structures.
Ensure work is performed with structural integrity, alignment, and aesthetic precision.
Operate equipment such as saws, levels, and measuring tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors, laborers, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar construction trade.
Strong knowledge of masonry materials, tools, and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various conditions.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
Completion of a formal apprenticeship or vocational training program.
OSHA or other relevant safety certifications.
Experience with both commercial and residential masonry projects.
