Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
5+ years of design experience with sheet metal and electro-mechanical systems
3+ years of hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication (stamping, forming, bending, coatings)
Proficiency in SolidWorks, ePDM, and FEA (ANSYS preferred)
Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles for scalable and cost-effective production
Familiarity with wire management, grounding, and integration of mechanical/electrical systems
Responsibilities
Design and optimize sheet metal clips, brackets, and enclosures for electrical and mechanical integration
Develop CAD models, drawings, and BOMs to support prototyping and production readiness
Validate product performance under environmental and mechanical stress conditions (thermal cycling, UV, corrosion)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electro-mechanical systems
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety certifications (UL, IEC, NEC, or similar)
Work with suppliers to evaluate materials, coatings, and manufacturing methods for scalability
