Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the IT Administrator, the IT Assistant A will assist students and staff using the Education AV Loans Service.
Primary duties include:
Depending upon assigned shift, open the Computer Lab/AV Loan Service facility in the morning and close it in the evening .
Help students, academic staff, and support staff with basic use of computers, presentation equipment, video and audio recording equipment, and other audiovisual equipment as required.
Maintain an “alert presence” in the AV Loan facility. Learn the basics of the lab including how to use the installed presentation equipment and know what software is installed on the lab computers.
Operate the AV loan service by creating reservations and processing checkouts and returns using our asset management software Webcheckout.
Keep track of the AV Loan equipment inventory.
Understand the basic operating fundamentals of the AV loan equipment inventory and provide practical tips and operations advice to clientele.
Loan Psychological testing kits to ECP students following the AMRC protocols. Other related duties as required
