We are currently looking for Casual Chefs to work with our integral team at Redford Barracks, EH13 0PP

Perks of the job

Starting from £11.96 per hour

Casual zero hour contracts

Mainly Friday, Saturday and Sundays but may need to cover through the week during school holidays

Shifts ranging from 6am – 6pm

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Supporting with food orders

Check all food is compliant with allergens

Loading and unloading of food stores

Liasing with members of the cadet training camps.

Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals

Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence

Assisting with deliveries and stock checks / placing orders

Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records

To share responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries

To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.

Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans

Full knowledge of all menu items served

*At times you may be required to work around the central belt of Scotland at short term camps.

Experience

Relevant culinary qualification

Previous experience in a similar role

Allergen awareness

Excellent team player and communicator

A confident chef

BPPS required

Driving licence with no more than 6 points
