Permanent position

Full time - 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7

Shifts range between 6.30am – 10pm (7.5 hours per day)

What you'll be doing

In the absence of the Head Chef, assume responsibility for the overall kitchen operation

General production of breakfast, lunch and dinner

To maintain food hygiene, service & presentation to a high standard

Support the head chef to manage the day to day running of the kitchen, including managing wastage and paperwork

Deliver private and official functions

Follow recipes and prepare food for service

Manage all associated administration tasks

To share responsibility for the checking, probing, and signing of all food deliveries to ensure that only the highest standard of produce is accepted into the unit.

To assist the Head Chef in evaluating the training needs of the kitchen staff.

As a member of our team, you are equally responsible for cleaning and hygiene and that any assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties are carried out.

Experience

Must be eligible to work in the UK

BPSS security check and SC& Palace Clearance checks

Relevant culinary experience
