Schedule: 7:00AM - 4:00PM (On site)

Pay: $25-$27 DOE

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MRP & Engineering Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate product configuration data within the company’s MRP/ERP system. This role supports the Engineering team by processing new model inputs from Sales, updating Bills of Materials (BoMs) and Bills of Operations (BOOs), and tracking documentation through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process. The position also manages engineering and part-number databases, ensuring documentation and records are accurate, current and organized. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Create and maintaining product configuration in the MRP/ERP system including Items, BOM’s, BOO’s, product specifications, and price.

Ensures change control procedures are followed per QA-2403

Process Model Input Sheet (MIS) from Sales, determines required documentation, and assign tasks to Engineers.

Maintain MIS status sheet and tracking database

Updates BoM’s and BOO’s as part of the ECO process.

Compile historical documentation files for ECO & MIS’s

Supports creation and maintenance of work instructions

Manage the document control system for Engineering documents

Maintains option codes, feature codes, and associated databases

COMPETENCIES:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and use sound judgment

Self-starter with strong organizational skills

Effective relationship-building with engineers and other departments

High attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks

Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and related software

Solid basic math skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required

High school diploma or GED

Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or administrative assistance

Preferred

Technical training or coursework in engineering or a related field

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The position requires the ability to lift or move items weighing no more than 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
