Overview of Role
The intern will be part of the Risk team based in Singapore reporting to the Risk Manager. The intern will support the Risk team by enhancing analytical tools, automating processes, and translating business needs into technical solutions to improve efficiency, insight generation, and workflow effectiveness.
Main Responsibilities
Assist in transforming and developing new dashboards to support risk reporting and analysis.
Revamp existing programming scripts used in current Risk processes under the guidance of Risk Officers.
Automate manual and repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
Enhance and develop risk analysis tools for use by Risk Officers, stakeholders, and senior management.
Translate business requirements from Risk Officers into actionable technical solutions, leveraging data and IT skills.
Perform data cleaning, preparation, and validation to ensure data quality for reporting and analysis.
Document all processes, scripts, and tools developed or modified during the internship to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
Stay informed about emerging tools and technologies relevant to data visualization, automation, and risk analysis, and recommend practical applications.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh perspectives to analytical and technical challenges.
Support ad-hoc analysis and mini-projects as needed, depending on evolving team priorities.
Collaborate with Risk Officers and stakeholders to identify workflow inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements.
Profile
The individual should have the following:
Advanced proficiency in Excel VBA, Python, or Power Query / Power BI is essential
Familiarity with data manipulation, automation, and dashboard creation is an advantage
Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning and transformation
Experience with databases (e.g., SQL) is a plus
