The Hong Kong Support Center (HKSC) is the regional corporate hub for the 15 markets in the Asia Pacific region - Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong/Macau, India, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. With over 5,700 stores, the region is a key growth driver for the organization.

Job Summary and Mission

This job contributes to Starbucks success by facilitating the planning, establishment, execution and evaluation of complex, multifaceted coffee related initiatives across Asia Pacific. Establishes and operationalizes elevated customer experiences. Manage programs required to enable sustainable operations, including alignment of key stakeholder groups. Negotiates for resources, liaises with external and internal vendors and sponsor-clients on program-related matters and provides professional guidance and leadership to project teams to realize the strategic business vision or desired result. Coordinates multiple projects in accordance with established timelines and metrics. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

§ Supports project managers and project teams on developing and delivering against project plans, objectives and schedules.

§ Consults with the sponsoring business units in the development of a clearly articulated vision, mission, and business case. Works cross-functionally with business partners and other teams to ensure successful execution of the program. Ensures projects within the program comply with established company standards.

§ Develops integrated plans including deliverables, strategic alignment, resources, impacts, milestones, risks, assumptions, constraints and overall program investment. Updates program plans, priorities, and project sequencing. Provides regular updates to key stakeholders to ensure that all projects are delivered on schedule.

§ Recommends and implements program improvements to meet changing mission parameters and requirements. Establishes service level agreements with customer groups, regional operations directors and markets

§ Monitors project execution to ensure that key milestones and financial parameters are met and that projects are delivered effectively to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the program.

§ Develops and executes against communications plans accurately and on time.

§ Optimizes financial, human and other resource allocations between projects and ensures effective resource utilization across the program.

§ Oversees the financial well-being of the program by analyzing cost effectiveness and exercising cost controls. Develops and monitors the programs budget. Works with business unit to secure funding for program requirements.
