About Us:

OhioMHAS Information Services is the technology arm of the third largest cabinet level agency in the state of Ohio. We develop and support technology for several critical business solutions used by the agency as well as by county and local behavioral health care providers across the state.

What you’ll do at OhioMHAS:

The Epic Analyst – Prelude and Cadence is responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, and support of Epic Prelude (Registration) and Cadence (Scheduling) modules. The analyst will work closely with operational stakeholders, project teams, and end users to translate business needs into system functionality that supports efficient, patient-centered workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, build, test, and maintain Epic Prelude and Cadence functionality to support enterprise scheduling and registration workflows.

• Collaborate with operational leaders and end users to gather requirements and recommend system solutions aligned with best practices.

• Participate in application upgrades, system enhancements, and change requests, ensuring minimal disruptions to clinical operations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and incidents in partnership with technical teams.

• Perform workflow validation, end user testing, and integrated testing with other Epic modules (e.g., Grand Central, HIM, Billing).

• Assist in training documentation, go-live planning, and post-implementation support.

• Ensure compliance with HIPPA and agency data governance policies.

• Maintain Epic certification and stay current with system updates and vendor requirements.

This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 33 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. This position is located within our Office of Information Services, headquartered at the James Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 East Broad Street, 33rd floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Position Qualifications

The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the application.

The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:

Alternative 1:

Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems

And

12 combined work experience in multiple areas of assigned responsibility (e.g., infrastructure, database administration, software development, business process analysis) as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

Alternative 2:

36 mos. combined work experience in multiple areas of assigned responsibility (e.g., infrastructure, database administration, software development, business process analysis) including 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

Or

equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Additional preferred qualifications:

• Epic Prelude and Cadence certification.

• Experience supporting or building Epic EHR modules in a healthcare setting.
