Quality Control Inspector – Day Shift We are currently hiring a Quality Control Inspector to join our day shift team.
This role involves inspecting and verifying welding, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with CSA, AWS, and company quality standards.
You’ll work in a specialized weld shop handling high-grade materials and play a key role in delivering quality products for major industrial projects.
Inspect and verify welding complies with CSA and AWS specifications Review materials, weld quality, and testing to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and company quality procedures Perform in-process and final inspections as outlined in the Quality Assurance Manual Maintain proper records of all inspections and keep contract files current Serve as the quality lead on assigned projects, including inspections, audits, document management, and coordination with customer QA staff Track and report key performance indicators related to quality Ensure quality control documentation is complete and submitted on time to meet project deadlines Report quality or production issues to the Plant Manager and QA Manager Communicate professionally with customer QA Inspectors Identify and report hazards, OHSA contraventions, or non-compliance with company policies Travel to suppliers or contractors if required we believe our people are the foundation of our success.

Fitting and welding experience (mandatory) Level 1 Welding Inspector or CWB Welding Supervisor Certification (asset) 1, W59, AWS D1.6, and NDE inspections Knowledge of quality control procedures, blueprint reading, weld processes, and record keeping Experience inspecting paint coatings and galvanizing (asset) Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and AutoCAD Willingness to work extra hours as required
