About us

Job Purpose

To work closely with the business to ensure the success of all projects and to build, plan and execute the business case.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Lead and drive cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables and deadlines.

Demonstrate valued business partner capabilities and behaviors in all interactions with colleagues, vendors and business stakeholders.

Manage changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs using defined change control procedures.

Implement projects following the National Grid-approved software development lifecycle model.

Perform risk assessment and implement risk mitigation plans.

Resolve issues and solve problems throughout the project lifecycle.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and have the ability to listen and learn from others.

Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage complex and varied interpersonal relationships to successfully complete projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience demonstrating responsibility for participating in and/or managing large scale software development projects
