Company Overview:
We are a small but innovative manufacturing company specializing in assistive technology products that make a difference in people’s lives. Our devices support individuals with disabilities through augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), Braille printing and learning, switch access, RFID-based medical devices, and sensory integration tools.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Product Assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electro-mechanical assemblies, including gears, motors, connectors, printed circuit boards, gaskets, and switches. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor and supports all aspects of manufacturing in a clean, safety-focused, and collaborative environment.
Full Time at our Waterbury, CT location.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electro-mechanical products.
Perform soldering (lead-free, surface mount, through-hole).
Accurately follow schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.
Assist with organization, cleanliness, and safety of the production area, suggesting process improvements when appropriate.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as CNC machines, 3D printers, and powered hand tools (training provided).
Support shipping and receiving tasks as required.
Enter production records, work tickets, and test results into computer systems.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and company goals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Ability to assemble small, detailed parts into functional assemblies.
High attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills (accurate grammar and spelling required).
Hands-on experience with soldering, troubleshooting, and use of test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter) desirable.
Familiarity with ISO or other quality management standards a plus.
Proficiency with computers and basic data entry.
Organized, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Technical degree (AS/BS) or completion of a trade/technical program preferred; relevant experience and references will be considered in place of formal education.
