About your team :

The Sales Desk Team is part of the Italian Wholesale Sales Team who are responsible for distributing Fidelity’s investment proposition to all types of clients, including; Banks, Financial Advisor Networks, Private Banks, Fund of Funds, Family Offices, Wealth Managers, Insurers. The team covers all asset classes available from Fidelity. The team are committed to placing Fidelity as the trusted deliverer of clients’ financial goals. This entails putting the customer at the heart of everything we do, and to act in the best interest of our clients, in order for them to achieve their financial objectives.

About your role :

The purpose of the Sales Support role is to support the Sales Team to help our clients build better financial futures, strengthen Fidelity’s relationships with intermediaries, achieve sales targets and retain assets. As integral member of the Italian Sales Team, the Sales Associate works in partnership with the Sales Team to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the Italian sales plan.

Regarding the distribution channel, the Sales Associate is responsible for taking ownership of client support services offered to our professional clients. The role includes preparing, executing and following up on client queries, creating and developing materials for sales meetings and client events. The Sales Associate will liaise effectively with the operational Marketing team for our internet and on-line marketing strategy.

The Sales Associate takes on an integral and operational role in product positioning, market and competitor intelligence, being the local link with centrally based competitor and fund analysis team of specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-office support for the distribution channel: responding to client requests, preparing information and data, preparing meeting material and pitch documents.

Competitor analysis: function as local link into central representatives, to brief in fund analysis initiatives with appropriate central teams, ensuring ongoing information flow from central team to local market in terms of competitor and market intelligence. Through tools locally available (Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct), support preparation and positioning of specific product initiatives with Italian wholesale clients.

Collaborate with Sales and Sales Support colleagues responsible for Wholesale/Institutional channel.

Ad-hoc project: participate and monitor development of internal and external projects assigned by the manager. Ensure that all necessary action points for the Italian market are implemented.

Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop and provide materials according to the Italian sales plan

About you:

Broad understanding of the industry, the market and the competitive landscape

Sound knowledge of financial products and Wholesale business

Analytical abilities

Sales attitude with a strong desire to make things happen

Ability to build credibility and liaise with clients in person and over the phone. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment and understand business priorities. Team worker, well organized, diligent and reliable

1-3 years of professional experience in the financial industry

Fluent in Italian and English

Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in using Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct is a plus
