Tableau Administrator

Analytica is seeking a Junior Tableau Administrator to support a dynamic federal government project. The ideal candidate will have a passion for analytics, governance, and enablement. This role focuses on monitoring and optimizing the Tableau environment, enforcing governance standards, and supporting Tableau users across the organization. The qualified candidate will assist in managing servers, sites, projects, licenses, permissions, and storage. In addition, the role will troubleshoot dashboard performance, train Tableau users to work within established governance framework, and foster a data-driven community by coordinating user groups, creating enablement materials, and supporting content creation.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Monitor Tableau server performance, license usage, and storage capacity to ensure a stable environment

Manage user provisioning, permissions, and access requests in accordance with governance standards

Assist in coordinating server upgrades and validating functionality

Troubleshoot dashboard and data source performance issues and escalate as needed

Support enforcement of Tableau governance standards across Dev, Test, and Prod environments

Assist in site and project organization based on approved governance processes

Develop user-facing documentation on governance policies, guides, and training content

Conduct training and workshops on Tableau desktop, prep builder, and dashboard design

Assist stakeholders in preparing for future Tableau Next migration activities

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

1+ year of hands-on experience supporting Tableau administration – managing users, permissions, sites, and projects

Experience with Tableau Server administration tasks, including; user/content management, server performance monitoring, and storage consumption

1+ year of experience developing Tableau dashboards and data sources

Familiarity with Tableau commands, connecting to data, publishing content, and managing permissions

Basic understanding of Tableau Prep Builder, dashboard performance optimizations, and design best practices

Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support diverse user groups

Preferred Qualifications:

Tableau Server certification or Tableau Desktop certification

Experience with data storytelling and dashboard design principles

Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, or other BI tools

Background in user enablement and training
