Relocation Readiness Program Support Specialist
Place of Performance: Ansbach, Germany
General Description:
The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at Government facilities throughout the United States Army Garrison (USAG) Ansbach. USAG Ansbach consists of multiple military installations/kasernes, and services may need to be performed at five (5) locations within the USAG Ansbach footprint: Katterbach Kaserne, Bismarck Kaserne, Shipton Kaserne including the Urlas area, Barton Barracks, and Storck Barracks at Illesheim.
You shall provide the following support services:
• Maintain class records, files, forms, and information.
• Schedule, prepare for, and conduct trainings/classes.
• Develop/modify lesson plans based on certification and regulatory standards.
• Update existing instruction materials, handouts, and resource guides/lists.
• Utilize ACS marketing process to publicize all aspects of Relocation Readiness training.
• Conducts outreach to encourage and solicit class enrollments and training participation.
• Attend Relocation Readiness meetings as required.
• Make referrals to other ACS and garrison support programs as needed.
• Assist with ACS awareness and prevention campaigns and special events.
• Document all trainings and all necessary data in the ACS Staff Client Tracking System.
Specific Tasks:
• Information and Referral and Follow Up Services
Front Desk Reception: Shall establish a program reception desk for receiving clients of the Army Community Service (ACS) Center located at both Storck Barracks in Illesheim Germany, and the Main ACS Center located in Katterbach, Germany. Tasks consists of tracking all requests for ACS services and maintaining active and historical client and simple information contact records.
• Relocation Readiness Support Services
Clerical Services: Manage all assigned clerical tasks from initial receipt until completion. You shall ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with (IAW) the Requiring Activity’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Relocation Readiness Program (RRP) and Army Regulation, Army Community Service.
Lending Closet Operations: Operate the ACS Lending Closet and shall issue and receive requests from Monday through Friday from 0730-1600 in accordance with the Relocation Readiness Program Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• ACS Outreach Services
ACS Marketing: Assist ACS in requesting, maintaining, and distributing ACS marketing and educational materials/resources in physical form (flyers, posters, and brochures), as well as digital marketing on approved websites and platforms.
• Relocation Readiness Program Community Education and Training
Relocation Readiness Briefings and Classes: Conduct Relocation Readiness briefings and classes on a pre-scheduled, monthly basis (at least one of each type per month), or by request, using materials provided by the ACS staff and IAW, Army Community Service, to include the following topics:
1. Host Nation Orientation and Walking Tour
2. Basic Conversational German Class
3. English as a Second Language (ESL) Class
Qualifications:
• Shall have completed 24 semester hours in social sciences related courses such as psychology, sociology, human services, social work, counseling, OR minimum of 5 years’ experience within the past 10 years, working as a Program Manager/Support for similar human services related Contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, Outlook, Teams).
• Shall read, understand, speak, and write English. German language is preferred.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
