Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Sign Language Interpreter to provide dedicated 1:1 support for an 11th-grade student in Stewartville, MN. This role is based on-site at a local school and requires strong interpreting skills to facilitate communication in all classes for the student throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering clear and accurate sign language interpretation during all classroom activities and instructional sessions.

Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure effective communication and inclusion.

Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with school policies and ethical standards.

Supporting the students engagement and access to the curriculum by adapting interpretation style as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in American Sign Language, Education Interpreting, or a related field.

Valid and current certification such as EIPA, RID, or NID.

Proven reliability and strong interpersonal skills.

Commitment to supporting a positive learning environment for the student.

Location: Stewartville, Minnesota

Contract: Full-time, on-site, school year assignment
