Student Employee - General Education Department TA

This position is for ONE semester - Fall 2025 - September 2 through December 12, 2025

Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part-time capacity according to the Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.

Hours: 15-19 hours a week during the semester, and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $0.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.

Specific Summary of Duties:

Correct student homework accurately and in a timely manner from a variety of general education classes.

Give partial credit and feedback according to a grading rubric.

Communicate effectively with instructors regarding their grading needs.

Enter grades into either Canvas or a spreadsheet.

Help department administration with projects as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and follow all FERPA regulations.

Other duties as assigned

Job Qualification:

Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits.

Ability to produce effective written correspondence through email and other written communication.

Have the ability to communicate effectively, listen, and respond appropriately.

Highly self-motivated, hard worker, creative, and has great attention to detail.

Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the supervisor, team members, faculty, and staff.

Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed.

Proficient in Office 365 and Canvas.
