Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services, working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.
The annual salary range for this position is $22.93-$25.38 an hour based on relevant experience, education, and/or licensure.
Essential Functions:
Process incoming referrals efficiently and accurately in the electronic health record system
Perform detailed data entry, including demographics, contact information, referral details, emergency contacts, and payer information
Schedule intake appointments based on staff availability and client needs
Verify insurance coverage at the time of intake and prior to scheduled appointments
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of internal referral processes and county-based service pathways
Respond to phone calls with professionalism and empathy, directing inquiries or taking messages as appropriate
Answer referral phone line and promptly return voicemails
Collaborate with intake and access staff to ensure referral loop closure and continuity of care
Track referral outcomes and follow up to ensure continuity of care.
Communicate effectively with clients to explain referral processes, provide support, and reduce barriers to accessing care.
Assess client needs and identify appropriate behavioral health providers based on insurance coverage, geographic location, and specialty needs.
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED.
Three years of experience working in a medical referral position and/or nonprofit administrative management environment required.
Demonstrated a high degree of cultural awareness.
Ability to use appropriate databases, spreadsheets, and other software.
Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
