Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing logistics, tracking orders, deliveries, and equipment rentals, while ensuring smooth project execution. You will oversee key project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and change orders. You'll play a crucial role in site testing, commissioning, quality control, and ensuring that projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Shift: Mon-Fri (weekends may be possible on project needs but not common)
Hour Shift Start: Hours may vary but usually 7AM-4PM or 8AM-5PM (Subjected to changed based on project needs)
Salary Range: $60,000-$74,500
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Coordination: Manage project logistics by tracking orders, deliveries, and equipment rentals.
Documentation & Compliance: Review, process, and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders to maintain smooth project flow.
Budget & Scheduling: Monitor project productivity, track costs, and ensure projects stay within budget and timeline.
Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes, ensuring that all work is compliant with specifications and safety standards.
Commissioning Support: Organize pre-functional checklists, start-ups, and other commissioning tasks for a successful project launch.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and project updates.
Skills & Qualifications:
Preferred: Construction Management Degree or related field degree.
Must have 1-2 experience in commercial construction (does not have to be plumbing but very familiar with all phases of job sites projects)
Must have GED or High School Diploma.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in interpreting blueprints, managing schedules, and using project management software
In-depth knowledge of job site safety practices
Ability to thrive in both office and field environments
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
