Job Description
The Student Financial Aid Specialist 4 represents Student Financial Aid (SFA) at various Undergraduate Admissions recruitment and yield events advising students and families regarding college financing options; manages the creation and maintenance of all materials used to educate students and families regarding college financing options; assists Buckeye Link and/or other university partners in conducting presentations on financial aid and affordability to parents, prospective students, and other community access partners; assists in the collection of feedback from recruitment and yield presentations; assists in the creation and delivery of financial aid training to Admissions staff member; makes presentations to multiple university committees, working groups and campus partners; maintains thorough knowledge of federal, state and institutional financial aid policies and procedures; thorough knowledge of university merit, access and need-based scholarship and grant parameters; maintains and administers a portfolio of access related scholarships including those supported by both university and donor funds; assists SFA management and staff in crafting communications for various projects and serves as the liaison to Enrollment Services Marketing and Strategic Communications; participates in events, conferences and workshops related to student financial wellness.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience; a minimum of 3 years of professional financial aid experience; 6 years of relevant experience is required; strong presentation, oral and written communication skills; ability and desire to travel on a limited basis, including evening and weekends, especially during peak recruitment cycles; this position requires successful completion of a background and credit check.
Desired Qualifications
8-12 years of relevant experience preferred. Working knowledge of federal, state regulations relative to financial aid administrations.

The pay range for this position is $51,500 - $54,500. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
