English & Language Arts Teacher- Livingston Campus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Instruction & Curriculum:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ELA instruction aligned to Ohio Academic Content Standards and district curriculum.

Integrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills into daily lessons.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English Language Learners.

Assessment & Data:

Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.

Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions.

Classroom Environment:

Create a positive, respectful, and culturally responsive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Implement effective classroom management strategies following district and building expectations.

Technology Integration:

Incorporate technology tools and digital platforms to enhance learning and student engagement.

Use district-adopted Learning Management Systems (LMS) and grading platforms effectively.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to plan instruction, analyze data, and support student achievement.

Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and support staff regarding student progress.

Professional Growth:

Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in literacy instruction and pedagogy.

Additional Duties:

Supervise students in non-instructional settings as assigned.

Attend staff meetings, parent conferences, and school events as required.
