Hold current Certificate III in Feedlot Operations or equivalent skills and experience.

Your work experience and background will be in Agriculture and include livestock handling. You will support our Feedlot training, and we would also like to develop your versatility to train in other areas over time. Applicants must have previous experience in workplace training.
However, if you don’t yet have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, we will assist you to achieve this qualification as it is a requirement of the role. If you are keen to grow and develop in training within the Feedlots and Animal Welfare sectors this is an ideal opportunity for you!
We are looking for someone to take true ownership of our Group Workplace Trainer & Assessor (Feedlots) role and further grow into other areas of the business.
You will need to have very strong customer service skills and be able to work within the team dynamics of the National Training Team.
Site visits will give you an opportunity to work with management, students and supporting supervisors to ensure the learners are achieving their goals. You may also work with the sites to provide additional services including task technical training and assessments.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Trainer & Assessor to join our RTO National Training Team, with a focus on supporting the Feedlot Division. This role will be responsible for delivering Nationally Recognised Training, while also contributing to broader training initiatives across the business.
The position can be based at one of our feedlot sites at Beef City, Riverina or Caroona with flexibility depending on your home location. Regular travel to regional sites across the JBS Feedlots in Queensland and NSW will be required. Reports to Team Leader Training Delivery – Feedlots. Could this be your next career move?
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accredited and non-accredited training and assessment in accordance with RTO standards.
Support learners in achieving their qualifications, particularly Certificate III in Feedlot Operations.
Collaborate with site management, supervisors, and learners to ensure training outcomes are met.
Contribute to the development and delivery of technical task training and workplace assessments.
Assist in expanding training delivery into other operational areas over time.
Role Requirements
Demonstrated experience in agriculture, particularly in livestock and feedlot operations, preferably with cattle.
Previous experience in workplace training and assessment is essential.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) is required. JBS will support suitable candidates to obtain this qualification if not already held.
Certificate III in Feedlot Operations or equivalent skills and experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a national team.
Experience with the design and delivery of workplace training.
