Head of Supply Chain

Our client, a large and highly reputable conglomerate with a diverse portfolio of businesses, is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimise its end-to-end supply chain operations in Qatar.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional to make a significant impact within one of the region’s most respected and recognisable organisations.

The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing supply chain strategies that drive efficiency, resilience, and competitive advantage across multiple business divisions.

This role requires a seasoned leader with strong expertise in procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution, as well as the ability to lead digital transformation initiatives and deliver sustainable supply chain solutions.

As part of the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will work closely with business unit heads and executive management to ensure supply chain operations fully support the group’s long-term growth strategy.

Develop and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence.

Lead, mentor, and build high-performing supply chain teams across procurement, logistics, warehousing, and planning.

Oversee strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations to ensure value optimisation and strong supplier partnerships.

Implement advanced demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management systems to reduce costs and minimise risks.

Drive digital transformation initiatives, including automation, data analytics, and ERP optimisation, to create a modern, agile supply chain.

Ensure full compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align supply chain operations with business objectives across retail, manufacturing, distribution, and service divisions.

Lead initiatives to enhance sustainability, resilience, and innovation within the supply chain.

Monitor and report on KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.

Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes, ensuring best-in-class operations across the group.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CIPS, CSCP, or CPIM preferred). 15+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role within a large and complex organisation.

Proven success in managing end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple business units, ideally within a conglomerate, FMCG, retail, or large-scale industrial organisation.

Strong expertise in procurement, logistics, warehousing, distribution, and demand planning.

Experience driving digital supply chain transformation and implementing ERP/supply chain technologies.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

Commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution.

Strong cultural awareness and ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Based in, or willing to relocate to, Qatar.
