CNC/Overhead Crane Operative

We are looking for a CNC operative with possible Crane experience in the Wednesbury area of the West midlands, to join a busy team in the Manufacturing industry.

The position will be:

Immediate start

Tranning Provided

Permanent position after a successful trial period

Duties:

Operate CNC laser machines to cut materials to precise specifications

Conduct quality checks using measuring tools (e.g. Verniers, calipers)

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and diagrams

Safely operate overhead cranes to move heavy steel components

Load and unload materials using automated or manual systems

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Adhere to all health and safety procedures

Experience & skills:

Engineering experience essential

CNC operating experience required

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

FLT or Overhead crane license advantageous but not essential

Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm is key

Working Hours:

Monday – Thursday:

Rotating shifts: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00

Friday:

06:00–12:00 / 12:00–18:00

After 12 weeks:

Transition to night shift: 22:00–06:00

Pay Rates:

Starting: £12.21 per hour

After 12 weeks: £12.81 per hour

Progression to Level 3: Up to £14.18 – £15.42 per hour
