Advanced Practitioner - Locum Role

Merco Medical is recruiting Locum Advanced Practitioners to support the delivery of high-quality care within a busy Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) in Sunderland.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced ACPs looking for flexible locum work within a well-established urgent care setting. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing and treating patients presenting with a variety of minor illnesses and injuries across all age groups.

We are looking for confident, autonomous practitioners who can deliver safe, effective care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shifts are between the hours of 08:00-00:00, with the most predominant shift pattern being 18:00-0:00.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of urgent and non-life-threatening conditions.

Manage minor illness, minor injury, and paediatric presentations within the UTC setting.

Contribute to the smooth running of clinical services through effective team collaboration.

Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and service standards.

Essential Requirements:

MSc qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent is desirable)

Independent Prescriber

Accredited qualifications in Minor Illness and Minor Injury (L6 Minimum)

Experience working with paediatric patients

Must be able to see Injury and Illness

Current registration with NMC (for nurses) or HCPC (for paramedics and allied professionals)

Previous Emergency or Urgent Care experience

Rates

LTD Company, between £40 - £55. Please enquire for PAYE.
