Job Title: Senior Asset Information Specialist

Location Glasgow remote Hybrid

Salary from £53,280 to £66,600 + Excellent Benefits

We are seeking a highly skilled specialist to lead the design of enterprise asset data models for SP Energy Networks. This role will focus on defining and integrating asset data across Operational Technology (OT), GIS, SAP, and Civil/BIM systems to enable a unified and future-proof asset information strategy that will support the UK with its Net Zero Targets

What you’ll be doing

Design and define enterprise asset data models to support asset lifecycle management and digital transformation initiatives.

Integrate data models across OT, GIS, SAP, and Civil/BIM domains, ensuring consistency and interoperability.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, IT, and data governance teams, to align data models with business requirements and regulatory standards.

Develop and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and modelling standards.

Provide subject matter expertise on asset data modelling best practices and emerging technologies.

What we hope you’ll bring

Strong understanding of asset information management principles and data integration, ideally within operational electrical networks

Experience working within regulated environments and structural organisations

Proven experience in asset data modelling within utilities or large infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with GIS, OT systems, SAP, and BIM/Civil engineering data.

Ability to work with data governance frameworks and industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650 for BIM, IEC standards for OT).

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

As a minimum we expect you to be:

Educated to degree level in data science, computing, engineering or a related discipline

Experienced working with asset data, including collection, validation, and reporting

Strong in analytical skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy

Effective communicator, able to present data insights to technical and non-technical audiences
