This is an onsite full-time contract position teaching Elementary and Middle school students in the Columbus, Ohio area in a leading charter school.

This position will split time between two campuses on the west side of Columbus.

Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with IEPs and 504 Plans - Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment - Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities - Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Skills: - Proven experience as a Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher - Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methodology - Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms - Excellent communication and instructional skills - Ability to act as mediator between children - Cool-tempered, friendly, reliable, and adaptable Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field) - Valid state (OH) teaching certification/license in Special Education - Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred - Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week Benefits: - 401(k) matching - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Paid time off - Vision insurance #promoted #LI-JB1PandoLogic.
