Cytotechnologist – Day Shift

A well-established hospital laboratory in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist to join their team. This is a full-time, day shift position with a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical environment.

Position Highlights:

Full-time, permanent day shift role

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Hospital-based laboratory setting

Key Responsibilities:

Perform microscopic examination and evaluation of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens

Document findings and collaborate with pathologists for diagnostic review

Maintain quality control and adhere to regulatory compliance standards

Participate in continuing education and cytology proficiency testing

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program

ASCP (CT) certification required

New York State Cytotechnologist License required

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cytotechnologist – no new graduates

Excellent diagnostic and interpretive skills

Strong communication and organizational abilities
