The Tech Leader / Scrum Master will be responsible for spearheading the development and delivery of ServiceNow solutions while managing the agile process. This role combines technical leadership with agile coaching expertise to ensure the team efficiently addresses business requirements and evolves the ServiceNow platform to meet enterprise needs. The ideal candidate will be both hands-on with ServiceNow implementations and adept at facilitating agile ceremonies, ensuring continual improvement and high team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Leadership and Scrum Mastery:

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Coach the team on agile best practices and ensure adherence to agile principles and methodologies.

Remove impediments that hinder progress and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical Leadership in ServiceNow:

Oversee the architecture, development, customization, and integration of ServiceNow modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog Management.

Partner with IT teams and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Lead code reviews, design sessions, and system enhancements, ensuring adherence to development best practices.

Team Management and Collaboration:

Provide guidance and mentorship to developers, architects, and other team members.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, and business process owners, to align on requirements and deliver quality solutions.

Monitor team performance and productivity, implementing measures to optimize workflow and enhance collaboration.

Project and Stakeholder Management:

Define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, and ensure projects remain on track and within budget.

Communicate progress, challenges, and potential risks to stakeholders, and develop strategies to mitigate any issues.

Maintain up-to-date documentation of the development process, solutions, and best practices.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with ServiceNow platform advancements, agile methodologies, and industry trends.

Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage new features or modules that can benefit the organization.

Encourage a culture of experimentation, feedback, and learning within the team.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

Proven experience with the ServiceNow platform, including hands-on development, configuration, and integration.

Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, and related modules.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript and knowledge of APIs for integrations.

Agile and Scrum Master Experience:

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification.

Demonstrated experience in leading agile teams in a technology environment.

Solid understanding of agile principles, ceremonies, and artifacts.

Leadership and Communication Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders.

Strong leadership qualities with a track record of building high-performing teams.

Ability to translate complex technical information into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities:

Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting technical challenges and driving process improvements.

Proven ability to balance competing priorities and navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience with additional agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean) and scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).

Prior experience in IT service management or digital transformation initiatives.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools.

Experience working in regulated environments or industries with compliance requirements. null
