Role Overview
Sapphire is seeking a sharp, schedule-savvy Editorial Coordinator to anchor our publishing and content operations across fashion, tech, and experiential commerce. This role blends editorial precision with production logistics—supporting founder-led initiatives, contracted creatives, and cross-platform storytelling. You’ll be the rhythm keeper behind our content calendar, the gatekeeper of brand voice, and the liaison between Sapphire’s vision and its creative execution.
This is not a passive support role. You’ll help ensure every published piece reflects Sapphire’s standards of creativity, motivation, clarity, and impact.
Responsibilities
Editorial & Content Development
Draft, edit, and refine brand-aligned content across newsletters, magazines, product copy, investor decks, and experiential campaigns
Maintain Sapphire’s editorial style guide and ensure consistency across platforms
Assist in scripting founder-led communications, including consumer statements and internal doctrine
Scheduling & Production Coordination
Own the editorial calendar—tracking deadlines, deliverables, and publishing rhythms across departments
Schedule and manage creative workflows with contracted writers, designers, and producers
Coordinate founder reviews, version control, and final approvals with precision and discretion
Creative Liaison & Vendor Management
Vet and onboard freelance creatives—ensuring alignment with Sapphire’s standards of authorship, resilience, and discretion
Document all creative interactions, feedback loops, and revisions as part of Sapphire’s operational doctrine
Flag red flags early—whether it’s missed deadlines, diluted voice, or misaligned energy
Infrastructure & Documentation
Codify every friction point into process—turn missed deadlines, vague drafts, or vendor ambiguity into protocols to enhance continuous improvement
Maintain analog backups and version history for all editorial assets
Support IP protection efforts by documenting authorship and creative lineage
Ideal Candidate
5+ years in editorial coordination, publishing, or branded content—bonus if you’ve worked in fashion, tech, or founder-led startups
Mastery of scheduling tools (Notion, Airtable, Google Suite) and editorial platforms (Substack, Medium, Shopify, etc.)
Exceptional writing and editing skills—able to mirror Sapphire’s visionary tone.
Resilient under pressure, discreet with sensitive content, and proactive in spotting misalignment
Values infrastructure and documentation, and legacy—sees every task as part of a larger buildout
